Bohdan Korzeniewski

(born April 12, 1905 in Siedlce, die d. September 5, 1992 in Warsaw) - Polish film director, critic an d theater historian, translator, writer and educator. He was born in Siedlce. In the years 1932-1938, with interruptions, he worke d at the National Library. Since 1934 he taught history of theater in Piste, which continued the underground during the Nazi occupation. He was a co-founder of the Theatrical Council of the underground. Imprisoned in a German concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he was one of the few released through the efforts of the international.
